Senior Technical Project Manager

Required for a major Healthcare project in Dublin.

Undertaking a hospital project is a complex journey, brimming with challenges yet ultimately fulfilling. The successful candidate will form a critical part of the  management & Engineering team, supporting project delivery, Commissioning, Technical Engineering advice predominantly within the Healthcare sector.

 

  • Lead the successful delivery of major & minor capital projects, ensuring standards of quality & compliance are consistently met.
  • Play a leading role as a Senior Project Manager during the commissioning and operational phases of ’s Infrastructural, Technical & Engineering Developments.
  • Demonstrate that projects are being managed to the agreed scope, budget and schedule.
  • Accountable for the consistent application of project management quality standards as stipulated.
  • Responsibility and accountability for efficient, effective and the optimal safe delivery of projects.
  • Monitor Compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance and specifications.
  • Proactively manage project risks, by introducing mitigation plans and process were applicable.
  • Monitor and control actual project performance against business and budgetary performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management policy and provisions.
  • Ensure a consistency of approach across the Project & Engineering functions.
  • Communicate effectively with the Project Management Office and other key stake holders.
  • Provide support in acquiring and or providing technical guidance, specifications, advice, oversight or direction on all projects as directed by the commissioning team.
  • To manage all third party communication in respect to specific projects or tasks as directed by the Commissioning team
  • To ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation and compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations and requirements of our insurers.
  • To contribute and input into the strategic and operational change programmes and compliance.
  • Develop safe work systems for the Project team and others as directed by the Commissioning team.
  • Ensure that projects are fully compliant with the necessary building & Technical regulations & Statutory Requirements.
  • Develop effective systems and procedures to ensure that the project health & safety files are distributed & communicated to the entire Commissioning team team.
  • Develop and foster a proactive Health & Safety culture having regard to legislative requirements and best practice, whilst supporting the further development of our current policy’s and procedures.
  • Develop commissioning procedures, validation and acceptance tests in conjunction with Design Teams in the handing over of new plant equipment and buildings to the control of the Client.
  • Develop with all effected stakeholders’ method statements that deliver the best outcome in a safe and effective manner.

Degree qualified in Engineering and a demonstrable track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects.

Chartered Engineer desirable but not essential

Extensive experience of infrastructural development, planning and operations.

Experience working with internal & external stakeholders.

Experience managing project risks, issues and dependencies

Project Management  experience delivering capital/Technical projects in the Healthcare industry.
