Design and detailing of building works. Surveying and plotting of land and property.
Preparation of planning applications and fire certificate applications CAD Systems (Auto Cad & AEC)
1. Surveying existing buildings in order to provide record drawings in electronic format.
2. Updated service Drawings (sewerage, drainage, water, electrical etc) which are often sought in relation to refurbishments, excavations, infection control etc.
3. Preparation of projects at Tender stage.
4. Liaising with and assisting Estate Managers/Service Managers with the implementation of changes to leased properties. Preparing plans and specifications of works to be carried out on such properties in consultation with service managers.
5. Preparing feasibility studies on various projects for Service Managers.
6. Providing technical advice on design to Service Managers, Maintenance Managers etc.
7. To keep updated on all legislation – Planning & Development Act, Planning & Environmental Regulations, Development Regulations, Building Regulations, Health & Safety Regulations.
8. Performing an advisory role to all Project Managers in relation to Minor Capital Projects.
9. Preparing Schedules of Work, routine estimates and project costings using Q-Cost software.
10. Providing interior design advice on projects i.e. compiling floor covering schedules, colour schedules etc.
11. Design and detailing and compiling specifications for Minor Capital Works.
12. Highly efficient in the use of Computer Software i.e. Auto CAD, Architectural Desktop, Micro-station, Word, Excel, Zutec, Oakleaf etc.
13. Preparation of fire evacuation plans including Assembly Points, Hydrant Locations etc.
14. To carry out other such duties as are required by the Estates Officer in addition to those set out above as may be assigned from time to time.
15. Maintain Office Document Management System in both hard and soft copy as required including drawings, maps, specifications for existing facilities and new projects.
